日前，2025年“青少年公益年會杯”大灣區棒壘球邀請賽開賽活動在中山國際棒壘球中心舉行。從2020年創辦以來，“青少年公益年會杯”大灣區棒壘球邀請賽先后在中山、深圳、香港等地舉行，旨在通過體育賽事促進粵港澳大灣區青少年廣泛交流、全面發展。6年來共有47支球隊，累計超過3000名青少年參與賽事。
本屆賽事吸引了粵港澳大灣區16支參賽隊參與，覆蓋棒球U12、U15、U18，壘球U15共4個組別，分三個階段進行。350余名青少年選手在中山國際棒壘球中心展開激烈角逐，賽事規模再創歷年來新高。
Youth baseball & softball invitational tournament hits a home run
The 2025 Youth Public Welfare Annual Cup Greater Bay Area Baseball and Softball Invitational Tournament kicked off on March 23rd in Xiaolan town, Zhongshan, Guangdong province, attracting over 350 players across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.?Since its inception in 2020, the tournament has been held in Zhongshan and Shenzhen of Guangdong province as well as in Hong Kong.
The tournament aims to foster deeper exchanges and holistic development among youth through sports. Over the past six years, 47 teams and more than 3,000 young athletes have participated in the event.?Zhongshan holds a special place in China's baseball history as the hometown of Liang Fuchu, a pivotal figure who introduced baseball to the country in the early 20th century and is widely revered as the father of baseball in China.
