“村BA”前身是貴州省黔東南州臺盤鄉臺盤村舉辦貴州省“美麗鄉村”籃球聯賽。這場當地村民一年一度的籃球賽，經由短視頻火爆全網，網友們仿照“NBA”“CBA”，稱之為“村BA”。2023年“村BA”繼續火爆，除貴州省外，北京、天津、河北、遼寧、吉林、黑龍江、江蘇、山東等地也舉辦類似比賽。之所以在中山如此火爆，也是因為2023年中山沙溪奪得全國“村BA”冠軍，而且今年中山沙溪隊衛冕全國“村BA”籃球賽總冠軍！
The origins of "Village BA", or “Cun BA”, can be traced back to the "Beautiful Village" basketball league, an annual event held in Taipan village, Taipan township, Qiandongnan prefecture, Guizhou province. This grassroots basketball tournament has gained immense popularity through short videos on the Internet, prompting netizens to dub it "Village BA," in a playful nod to the "NBA" and "CBA." In 2023, the fervor for "Village BA" showed no signs of waning, with similar competitions being held not just in Guizhou but also across various places including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Jiangsu, Shandong and more. Zhongshan's enthusiasm for the game is particularly noteworthy, fueled by Zhongshan Shaxi's victory in the national "Village BA" championship in 2023. Moreover, Zhongshan Shaxi Team defended their title as the champion of the China’s Village Basketball Competition this year. As a result, the basketball spirit in Zhongshan is expected to reach new heights in 2024.
在如今的中山，“村BA”已經發展成為一項豐富多彩的賽事活動。不僅有傳統的村級籃球聯賽，還有各類行業“BA””球賽。這些賽事不僅豐富了人們的體育生活，也促進了各行業之間的交流與合作。中山市政府在籃球場地建設方面也給予了大力支持。新建、改造了一批籃球場，提高了球場建設標準，讓群眾能更舒適地打球。
Today, "Village BA" in Zhongshan has evolved into a vibrant and diverse sporting event. Beyond the traditional village-level leagues, there are now industry-specific "BA" tournaments and various other ball games. These events not only enrich the sporting lives of the people but also facilitate exchanges and cooperation across different industries. The Zhongshan municipal government has provided strong support in venue construction by newly building and renovating a number of basketball courts. With improved facilities, the public now enjoys an even more comfortable and enjoyable playing experience.
